POSITION: MS Dynamics BC Consultant
LOCATION: Somerset West, Cape Town
REPORTS TO: Financial Director

Purpose:  The company is hight reliant on its data to make sound business decisions.  This position serves a critical function in managing the data of the business,
resolving system issues, managing relationships with external system providers, drive data insights through reporting such as
Power BI and assist the business in interpreting the data to make the best possible business decisions.

B. Com Data Science, Information Technology or related qualification
               
Roles  Responsibilities

A. Systems Administrator (60%)
Quality Assurance
  • Perform regular audits and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Implement protocols for data validation and verification to maintain data quality standards.
  • Address any discrepancies or errors promptly to prevent downstream issues.
Documentation      
  • Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and project-related activities.
  • Create user manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders
System champion of ERP System
  • Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving software issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Train new employees on the use of the ERP system as required for their role.
System Monitoring              
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability, proactively identifying and    resolving issues to prevent service disruptions and optimize performance.

B. Business analysis (20%)
Process Improvement       
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement changes and monitor their impact on business operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes to adapt to evolving business needs.
 Data Analysis and Insights
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Utilise statistical methods and predictive modelling techniques to generate actionable insights.
Power BI Proficiency
  • Create dynamic and interactive reports using Power BI to visualize data trends and insights.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to track key business metrics and performance indicators.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in systems and processes.
  • Work with external service providers to ensure that risk mitigation strategies are in place to minimise the impact of potential threats.
  • Work with external service providers to ensure that monitor of system for security breaches takes place and appropriate action is taken to address any incidents.
C. Project management of process flows within ERP and other software systems (20%)
  • Operational Business Process Efficiency Planning
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments to optimise business processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, around such efficiency improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with management to allocate resources and assign tasks for such projects.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for delivery.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the fruit industry is highly advantageous
