POSITION: Logistics Coordinator (Fruit Industry)
LOCATION: Durbanville North, Western Cape

Our client, a leading fruit exporter situated in Durbanville, has an exciting position available for a Logistics Coordinator.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics operations within the fruit industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily logistical planning of cold store dispatch activities (container bookings; Q67; loading instructions and daily planning) and the flow of information to all the relevant stakeholders.
  • Allocation of daily timeslots for all fruit dispatches into containers or trucks.
  • Preparation of documentation for dispatches and fruit inspections.
  • Managing risks regarding logistical activities.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (B degree or equivalent) preferably in Logistics.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably within the fruit industry.
  • Working experience with a pallet management system such as Pal track will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of fruit export documentation will be advantageous.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • Work extended hours when required.
