and other port related activities. The company is active in no less than 25 ports spread across

We are currently in search of an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage all cold store operational performance and activities (intakes, shipping, stowing and inspections) with a strong focus on cost management.
- Booking of staff to ensure that planned daily operational targets are met.
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards.
- Identify and participate in areas of continuous improvement to ensure best practice.
- Ensure all operational equipment is in good working order.
- Manage staff over a 3-shift system – 24/7-hour operation.
- Lead, manage and develop staff with a strong emphasis on training and development, time and attendance, performance management and adherence to Health and Safety regulations, company policies and procedures and any other applicable protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Matric.
- A tertiary qualification in operations management will enhance your application.
- Minimum 10 years’ operational experience in a production environment, warehouse environment and/or cold storage of fruit.
- Experience in the fruit export industry will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
- Above average computer skills (MS office). Working knowledge of Paltrack will be advantageous.
- Driver’s license is compulsory.
- Working in cold temperatures (0.5⁰C) are a prerequisite for this position.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work on an after-hours basis when required.

- Proficient in both English and Afrikaans.
- Self-starter, energetic and disciplined with the ability to effectively direct a team.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
