POSITION: IT Manager
LOCATION: Durbanville, Cape Town

Job Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT department, managing staff, and ensuring that all ICT systems and processes are running efficiently and effectively.
This role includes handling support escalations, managing ICT implementations, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
The IT Manager will also ensure that ICT administration is up to date and will monitor and report on various ICT-related metrics, including hardware capacity, support calls, and supplier SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring all systems, networks, and infrastructure function efficiently.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to safeguard data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that improve business processes and productivity.
  • Ensure the security of the company’s IT infrastructure, protecting against cyber threats and data breaches.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services and support.
  • Plan and manage IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of IT systems, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Server Setup and Management Experience

    Qualifications:

     
  • Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • FMCG Industry experience 
  • Fast Paced environment experience  
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar senior IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networks.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good understanding of data protection regulations and cyber security.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Oversee and manage various ICT platforms including AD, O365, Wi-Fi, Thin Clients, AV, Help
  • Desk, TeamViewer, Hikvision, Pal track, and Topaz.
