POSITION: Financial Accountant
LOCATION: Claremont, Cape Town

Accounting Role:

Management accounts to trial balance – reviewing the work of our debtors and creditors clerks and preparing monthly management account.
Audit preparation and assistance
Balance sheet reconciliations – stock, asset finance, loan accounts
Administration of key customer accounts – reporting requirements/query resolution with major retailers
Supporting the financial manager with key decision-making information

Operational support:

Monthly stock reconciliation – working with 3rd party warehouses to resolve differences/missing PODs etc.
Stock planning vs depletion rates – for duty payments and national distribution
Supporting logistics planning and co-ordination
Handling small volumes of physical stock receipts and counts at head office
Strength in Excel and analysis is important.
1 to 2 years post articles in a distribution environment (SAIPA or CIMA) would be an advantage.
