MS Dynamics BC Consultant

POSITION: Intermediate BC Client Consultant
LOCATION: Johannesburg (Hybrid/Remote)

A dynamic software company has an opening for a permanent position in the Information Technology sector.
The candidate will be responsible for consultation, project management, training, and engagement with key client stakeholders, in person and remotely.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:
  • At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Business Central.
  • Experience in BC consulting, with the ability to lead discussions with senior clients.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to document complex processes and requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and expectations.
  • Expertise in scope management and control.
  • Technical proficiency and a natural aptitude for system implementations.
  • Knowledge of data migration, including master data and opening financial balances.
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, supported by strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify technical topics for diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and meet key objectives on time.
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership of results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to contribute innovative ideas to improve team operations.
  • Experience working in agile teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the client-facing consultant on large multinational projects.
  • Lead "as-is" workshops and develop "to-be" processes.
  • Manage project deliverables for clients.
  • Provide both remote and on-site consultation services.
  • Document product gaps identified during the implementation process.
  • Build integrations with other financial systems using API technology.
  • Collaborate closely with the product owner to ensure design and development accuracy.
  • Deliver product demonstrations during client showcase sessions.
  • Test the product and report any identified bugs.
  • Conduct product training sessions with confidence and composure.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing and sign off on product change completions.
  • Ensure adherence to project deadlines and budgets.
  • Stay updated with product roadmaps, changes, and updates.
  • Contribute to department KPAs, providing feedback both upwards (within the business) and downwards (team development).
  • Follow standard company and departmental processes and procedures.
