POSITION: HR Business Partner LOCATION: City Deep REPORTING TO: HR Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Management and guidance of the HR Administrator Recruitment and Selection
Ensure recruitment compliance in line with the Company Recruitment Policy and alignment to the Employment Equity Plan
Manage relationships with external suppliers to meet the business recruitment needs
Advertise positions internally and externally
Conduct interviews with the recruiting manager
Facilitate on-line psychometric assessments to ensure suitability for the appointment
Prepare contracts of employment for new hires, transfers and / promotion letters
Ensure smooth on-boarding and induction of new joiners
Advise payroll on new joiners
Performance Management
Assist in supporting managers through training in implementing Performance Management
Assist managers to identify performance gaps and define appropriate training and / or action plan
Monitor and track due dates for completion of performance appraisals, to ensure that recommendations for salary increments, promotions, demotions etc. are applied
Exit Management
Conducting exit interviews for leavers
Preparation of termination documentation
Advise payroll on leavers
Training and Development
Compile and submit Workplace Skills and Annual Training Report with the relevant SETAs
Record and keep training invoices, registers and certificates in training file, personnel files and / or VIP system
Conduct a needs analysis with managers to identify the needs in terms of apprenticeship
Submit discretionary grant applications and manage the learners from recruitment to exit
Ensure all discretionary grant payments are received
Employment Equity
Ensure equitable representation of suitably qualified employees from designated groups in occupational categories and levels within all Companies and according to the Employment Equity Plan
Capture EE Plans for all Companies on VIP
Online submission of annual Employment Equity reports
Ensure that the Training and Employment Equity Committee (TEEC) quarterly meetings are held
Ensure that all occupational levels are always represented within the TEEC
Employee Relations
Advise and support line managers on disciplinary procedures as per the Company Disciplinary Code
Serve as the custodian of all HR policies, procedures, and templates
Coordinate and facilitate the disciplinary and grievance hearings
Prepare charge sheets
Load IR information on VIP system
Partake in meetings with Shop Stewards and Union officials as and when required
Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures, including CCMA and arbitration cases
Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE)
Ensure that all information relating to an annual BBBEE audit is correct and accessible
Involvement in the BBBEE and Ethical Audit
Employee Engagement and Culture
Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and organizational culture
Change Management
Support organizational change initiatives by aligning the workforce, ensuring effective communication, and managing potential disruptions
Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and organizational culture.
Data Analytics
Update weekly HR report
Gathering and analyzing HR data (e.g., employee demographics, recruitment metrics, performance data) to identify trends and patterns
Assistance provided to the HR Manager in terms of strategic planning for the department. Building relationships with managers FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric (equivalent of NQF level 4)
B Degree or equivalent in terms of recognition of prior learning
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR Business Partner role, with proven responsibility for the independent delivery of core HR operations and transactional HR functions across the employee lifecycle
Demonstrated and up-to-date working knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), and Skills Development Act (SDA)
Excellent MS Office applications
SAGE300 experience will be advantageous
FoodBev Industry experience will be advantageous
