OUTPUT PROFILE
Purpose
  • To lead the Business Systems function, driving digital transformation through D365 Finance & Operations, Microsoft Power Platform and other systems.  
  • This role owns the delivery of system enhancements, integrations, and new module implementations in partnership with external consultants.
  • The Group Business Systems Project Manager is responsible for team leadership, vendor and licensing management, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve business efficiency.
Major Challenges
  • Delivering system enhancements and new module implementations on time while managing partner relationships.
  • Balancing operational support demands with strategic project delivery and process improvement initiatives.
  • Driving new technologies including Power Platform, integrations, and AI automation across the business.

Key Performance Area
  1. D365 F&O Platform Management
Performance Outputs
  • Lead the D365 F&O platform strategy, working with implementation partners to deliver enhancements, new modules, and integrations.
  • Manage the D365 implementation partner to deliver enhancements, customizations, and new module rollouts.
  • Design and implement integrations between D365 F&O and other business systems using APIs, Data Entities, and Azure services.
  • Working with implementation partners to deliver Power Apps and Power Automate solutions to extend D365 functionality and automate business processes.
  • Identify and implement AI and Copilot automation opportunities to improve efficiency across finance and supply chain.
  • Manage D365 licensing, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness across all user types and modules.
  • Oversee environment management including sandbox, UAT, and production, coordinating releases and updates.
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management for all D365-related services.
  • Drive the D365 roadmap, aligning system capabilities with business strategy and Microsoft release waves.

  • Lead project delivery working closely with the D365 implementation partner from scoping through to go-live.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications for partner delivery.

  • Grade 12
  • Information Technology Certificate
  • Power BI / Power Apps / Power Automate
  • D365 Finance & Operations Certification
