POSITION: Senior Business Analyst - (Hybrid) LOCATION: Bellville REPORTING TO: Customer Delivery Executive
Role Overview: The Senior Business Analyst is a key contributor to the organization's success by analysing business needs,
identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing strategic recommendations in terms of technology and processes.
They collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements, facilitate communication, and drive the implementation
of solutions and processes through project management.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse business and functional requirements.
Conduct thorough research to understand industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to the organization's goals.
Solution Design and Documentation:
Translate business requirements into clear business cases, user stories, and process flows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective and efficient solutions that address business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations.
Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management, executives and external parties.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and proactively align all affected parties.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Analyse data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can drive informed business decisions.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Facilitate workshops or discussions to gather input from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Quality Assurance and Testing Support:
Review and validate test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing of solutions.
Support testing efforts by clarifying requirements, resolving issues, and verifying that the solution meets business needs.
User/change champion assistance.
Project Planning:
Develop and refine project plans, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with the organization's business goals.
Collaborate with junior project manager, PO’s and Process Consultants to ensure successful solution delivery.
Implement best project management practices to optimize project delivery.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones and updating statuses.
Identify and address potential issues, risks, and obstacles that may impact project success.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Facilitate workshops or discussions to gather input from stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Change Management:
Implement change management strategies as needed to facilitate project adoption.
Minimize disruptions caused by changes.
Implementation and Roll Out:
Ensure effective project roll out and support after implementation until project is adopted by business.
Quality Assurance and Testing Support:
Review and validate test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing of solutions.
Support testing efforts by clarifying requirements, resolving issues, and verifying that the solution meets business needs.
User/change champion assistance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or industrial Engineer.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a track record of successful project implementation from start to finish.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation techniques.
Familiarity with business analysis tools and software.

Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
Process modelling
Understanding of software development lifecycle and project management principles.
Industry-specific knowledge related to the fresh produce and/or logistics industry.
