Job Purpose Responsible for the correct storing, picking, movement, loading and stock take of all Finished Goods products in the Warehouse according to company procedures.
Output: Warehouse / Inventory of Finish Goods Area, Dry Stock Inventory Management & Stock Control
Maintain inventory accuracy through weekly cycle counts, monthly stock takes, and variance investigations.
Ensure a minimum stock accuracy level of 99% across all warehouse locations.
Coordinate and control all inventory transfers using approved RTT documentation and FIFO principles.
Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and immediately report any unidentified or untagged stock.
Monitor and report on slow-moving, excess, rejected, expired, and obsolete stock on a weekly basis.
Ensure product returns are processed daily, removed from the warehouse floor within one hour, and correctly scanned and documented.
Ensure no rejected, expired, damaged, or non-conforming stock is stored within warehouse locations.
Receiving & Goods Receipt Management
Ensure all stock received from suppliers is accurately checked against purchase orders, supplier invoices, customer orders, and picking documentation.
Ensure all Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) are processed accurately in Meat Matrix and submitted for approval within 48 hours.
Reject stock that does not comply with approved units of measure (UOM), quality standards, or shelf-life requirements.
Report and resolve incorrect deliveries, shortages, and supplier discrepancies.
Warehouse Operations & Distribution
Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through effective receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, and quality assurance processes.
Supervise loading and unloading activities to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient operations.
Ensure all WW vehicles achieve the required turnaround time (TAT) target of 60 minutes.
Ensure all WW trucks depart on schedule and meet customer delivery slot requirements.
Eliminate warehouse-related customer rejections caused by mis-picks, overloading, incorrect loading, or missed delivery slots.
Prevent wasted backhauling trips through effective planning and timely communication regarding order fluctuations.
Proactively manage equipment availability and report shortages at least 48 hours in advance.
Warehouse Layout, Storage & Housekeeping
Maintain warehouse layout standards and storage design principles to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
Ensure all warehouse storage locations are organized, clearly labelled, and free from capacity constraints.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards through continuous adherence to clean-as-you-go practices.
Ensure the crate wash area and all warehouse operational areas remain clean, safe, and orderly at all times.
Fleet & Equipment Management
Ensure forklifts and reach trucks are maintained in safe working condition.
Supervise forklift and reach truck operators to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards.
Report equipment defects and coordinate corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.
Reporting, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Capture, retrieve, analyse, and report operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse procedures, SHEQ standards, and customer requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, service levels, inventory accuracy, and operational performance.
People Supervision People Management & Performance
Supervise, coordinate, and monitor subordinate activities to ensure daily operational targets are achieved.
Measure, monitor, and report on warehouse performance, productivity, and employee effectiveness.
Provide guidance, support, and assistance to team members in accordance with company policies and operational requirements.
Maintain a visible operational presence by spending approximately 90% of working time on the warehouse floor and 10% on administrative activities.
Demonstrate a hands-on leadership approach and actively support operational requirements.
SHEQ
Always ensure acceptable personal hygiene of all staff.
Always manage correct use of PPE.
Ensure that process and product hygiene standards are always maintained.
All duties are performed according to the group Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures.
Onsite SHE implementation/ monitoring of OHS requirements.
Minimum Requirements Qualification details
Grade 12 is required.
Diploma in Warehousing is preferred.
Experience
3 - 5 years’ warehouse control and food experience is required.
2 – 3 years’ supervision in a manufacturing environment is required.
MS Office proficiency is required.

Salary:
R 14,000.00 CTC per month.
