POSITION: Operational ERP Consultants (Operations/Manufacturing Focused)
LOCATION: Bryanston

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ERP Functional Consultant (Operations / Manufacturing) to join our consulting team.
This role is suited to a consultant with strong hands-on experience in operational ERP modules who enjoys working
closely with customers to optimize manufacturing, supply chain, and operational processes through effective ERP solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering ERP implementations and improvements for clients operating in manufacturing, distribution, and project driven environments.


Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Delivery
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead end to end ERP implementations, including:
  • Requirements gathering and process mapping
  • Functional solution design
  • System configuration and setup
  • User acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Go live support and postimplementation optimization
  • Translate operational business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs

Operations & Manufacturing Focus
  • Configure and support ERP modules related to operations and manufacturing, including:
  • Inventory Management
  • Purchasing & Supplier Management
  • Warehouse Management
  • Manufacturing (BOMs, Routings, MRP, Scheduling)
  • Job Costing / Project Manufacturing (where applicable)
  • Quality, Service, or Maintenance modules (advantageous)
  • Analyze and improve client processes related to:
  • Production planning and execution
  • Demand forecasting and material planning
  • Costing and inventory valuation
  • Supply chain efficiency and control
  • Promote ERP best practices while balancing practical, real world operational requirements.
  • Client Engagement & Enablement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational and production stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and design reviews.
  • Deliver end user training and create operational documentation, SOPs, and process flows
  • Support change management and drive user adoption across operational teams.
  • Collaboration & Issue Resolution
  • Work closely with:
  • Technical consultants and developers
  • Project managers
  • Support and managed services teams
  • Assist with functional troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and solution optimization.
  • Support clients post go live with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting & Operational Insights (Advantageous)
  • Assist clients with operational and production reporting.
  • Experience with ERP reporting tools or BI platforms (e.g. Power BI) is advantageous but not essential

Experience & Skills Required
  • 5+ years’ experience as an ERP Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role)
  • Strong experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain focused ERP implementations
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and distribution business processes
  • Experience working in a client facing consulting or implementation environment

  • Ability to bridge the gap between shop-floor operations and ERP system design
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage both operational and executive stakeholders
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and deadline driven
  • Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple clients, industries, and ERP platforms

Qualifications
  • Qualifications are mandatory (Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, IT, Commerce, or similar)
  • ERP related certifications are advantageous (vendors specific or functional)
  • Manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain background is highly beneficial
