POSITION: Technical Specialist – ERP Platforms(Could be called IT Infrastructure manager or IT Systems Engineer) LOCATION: Bryanston (Hybrid)
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to deliver technical deployments,
technical delivery, and ongoing management of ERP environments across on premises, hybrid,
and cloud-enabled architectures.
This is a hands-on technical role. The successful candidate will:
Perform technical work themselves
Work alongside other team members, with the opportunity to move into a leadership role
Coordinate, engage, and manage third party service providers
The role spans multiple ERP platforms and different customer environments, providing excellent exposure and growth opportunities, particularly for a candidate who enjoys working across different technologies, industries, and deployment models.
ERP experience is non-negotiable. Candidates should have experience in dealing with both on-premises and cloud-deployed operational systems and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
Key Responsibilities ERP Environment Delivery & Support Install, configure, deploy, and support ERP environments across:
Cloud enabled models.
Work with multiple ERP solutions.
Support environments for medium sized businesses and ideally having worked with or had exposure to large multinational customers.
Manage ERP upgrades, patches, performance optimisation, and complex technical issues.
Ideal candidate would act as a senior escalation point for ERP related technical challenges.
ERP Platform & Deployment Knowledge Maintain a strong understanding of:
How different ERP platforms are deployed and supported.
The differences between on premises, hybrid, and cloud ERP architectures.
Apply this understanding across a variety of customer environments.
Support ERP integration and technical enablement across platforms.
Microsoft & Cloud Architecture
Design, support, and maintain hybrid architectures using Microsoft Azure.
Manage and support ERP related application environments hosted via IIS.
Understand ERP application scaling, availability, and operational support models.
Microsoft Dynamics Exposure (Ideally one or more of the following) Understand and support the deployment and management of:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Maintain a working understanding of:
Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain deployment concepts and architecture.
Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management Perform hands on technical work while also:
Assisting and working with internal technical team members.
Sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
Coordinating and managing third party vendors and hosting providers.
Work closely with ERP consultants, developers, project managers, and customers.
Provide technical input into planning, estimation, and solution design.
Security, Compliance & Governance
Ensure ERP environments adhere to security and compliance best practices.
Oversee access controls, environment segregation, patching, and audit readiness.
Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Experience & Qualifications Experience
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a technical role supporting ERP or enterprise systems.
Proven experience working across:
On premises, hybrid, and cloud ERP environments.
Customer facing, multi environment landscapes.
Ideal candidate would have experience in managing or coordinating internal resources and third-party providers.
Technical Knowledge (Essential)
Strong experience with ERP software platforms.
Understanding of ERP deployments for On-premises and Cloud.
Microsoft Azure (hybrid architecture concepts).
IIS.
Enterprise application deployment and operational support.
Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Certifications
Appropriate tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, ERP, infrastructure, or security) are advantageous.
