Purpose of the role
The Information Systems Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business
systems and processes within the property fund environment. This role bridges the gap between
business operations (finance, property management, leasing, and asset management) and technology,
ensuring that systems support efficient, accurate, and scalable operations across the portfolio. This role
operates at the intersection of finance, property management, IT, and external system vendors, requiring
a basic understanding of IT systems and the ability to lead the IT team in ensuring that core platforms,
data flows, reporting processes, and user workflows support the property fund’s operational and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Systems Analysis
- Evaluate current business processes across property management, finance, billing, and leasing functions.
- Identify system inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align system capabilities with operational needs.
2. Systems Implementation & Optimization
- Lead and support the implementation of property management and financial systems.
- Configure, test, and deploy system enhancements and new modules.
- Ensure optimal use of current systems such as procurement, accounting, and reporting tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
3. Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure data integrity across all systems, including tenants, lease, financial, and asset data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for management (e.g., arrears, NOI, cashflow, budgets).
- Support month-end and year-end processes through accurate system data and reporting.
- Assist in integrating systems for consolidated reporting across the property fund.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the key liaison between finance, property management, asset management IT, and external vendors.
- Provide system training and support to internal users.
- Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead the internal IT team to ensure responsive support, effective issue resolution, and alignment between IT delivery and business priorities.
- Manage relationships with system vendors and service providers.
5. Governance & Compliance
- Ensure systems align with company policies, procedures, and approval frameworks (DOA).
- Support audit requirements by ensuring accurate system controls and data trails.
- Maintain proper documentation of system processes, changes, and configurations.
6. Project Management
- Participate in or lead system-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Monitor timelines, deliverables, and project risks.
- Support digital transformation initiatives within the property fund.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Information Systems Engineer / Systems Analyst, preferably within property, real estate, or financial services.
- Experience with property management systems is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, user support, and system administration principles.
- Understanding of financial processes (billing, debtors, creditors, leasing, property management, budgeting, reporting).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with system integrations and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

- Experience in property fund structures and asset management reporting.
- Knowledge of automation tools and workflow systems.
- Basic SQL or data querying knowledge.
- Experience in system implementations or migrations.
