POSITION: Pest Control Officer
LOCATION: Stikland, Cape Town

Position Overview
The Pest Control Officer will be responsible for providing professional pest control services to residential,
commercial and industrial clients. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, identify pest infestations,
implement appropriate treatment programmers and ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and
in accordance with applicable industry standards and regulations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in termite control and fumigation – essential.
  • Previous experience as a Pest Control Officer or similar role.
  • Strong practical knowledge of termite identification, treatment and eradication methods.
  • Proven experience with fumigation procedures and pest management programmes.
  • Knowledge of common pests, their behavior and appropriate control methods.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pest Control Officer registration/certification where applicable.
  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in various environments, including confined or difficult-to-access areas.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pest inspections at customer premises.
  • Identify termite infestations and assess the extent of damage.
  • Perform termite treatments, including preventative and corrective treatments.
  • Conduct fumigation activities in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.
  • Apply pesticides, chemicals, baits and other pest-control products correctly and safely.
  • Develop and implement appropriate pest management solutions.
  • Treat and monitor properties for termites, rodents, cockroaches, ants, flies and other pests.
  • Install, inspect and maintain pest monitoring and control systems.
  • Provide customers with advice regarding pest prevention and corrective measures.
  • Complete service reports, treatment records and inspection documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all equipment and chemicals are properly maintained, stored and transported.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively when dealing with customers.
  • Report serious infestations, structural damage or other risks to management.
  • Follow up on treatments and conduct scheduled inspections where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of chemicals used treatment areas and customer requirements.
